Hello friends, would you believe that Devin and I have actually been getting along? Thanks to you guys, and this blog, I have been slowly digging up any bad karma that might be following me and trying to get rid of it. Devin and I have had a tumultuous go to say the least, so it is very nice to be able to speak to him about our issues without getting upset and hanging up on him. I also appreciate how open he has been in discussing our relationship and giving me permission to post it on here.
Devin has always said we are opposites and we are so opposite we would never work. I still believe that our relationship was so surface level he never really got to know the real me, but despite me saying this he always insisted we would have never worked. Well, I wanted to prove him wrong. I still believe that we both do not really know how compatible or incompatible we could have been for each other. Because of this I came up with this compatibility survey. I thought it would be interesting to see how each of us answered questions pertaining to compatibility. I have posted the questions in bold, his answers in red and mine in black.

No way, and if you are not happy then you are not in a successful relationship. I would like to add however, that I do my best to make my partner happy, but if it gets to the point where I am not happy anymore, I bolt.

Not one specific thing or place but doing something where at the end of the day when you lay down you're constantly content with the happiness of the other person.

For me this varies. It can be a staycation in a nice hotel not far from home, or it could be staying in a romantic cabin up in big bear. I think anytime away from the noise of everyday life with your significant other can be a vacation.

Trust. I think trust smooths out a lot of insecurities that can effect the relationship. I also think you need to be able to take responsibility for your actions so your partner does not feel alone in the relationship.

I think this is a silly question. There is no one definition of cheating. What I will say, is that if you are cheating, you know you are. And I think showing any special affection for anyone other than your partner in a romantic context is cheating.

I think I would. There are times in a relationship where your partner is vulnerable and they are showing you that vulnerability, which is hard enough. Making them appologize when you already know they are sorry is a bit much- sometimes.
